Although I have been relatively inactive recently, I have big plans coming up! I will be starting a series of posts on novels or other pieces of literature related to bees. I have always loved bees, and I was inspired recently to combine my love for literature with my love for these apian friends of mine. So, I compiled a list of novels to read, and I’m going to read them, compare how they interact with bees or, for example, the idea of a hive, the topic of research I am actively conducting as well for a paper. I will soon publish an analysis of the first novel in my list, followed by an analysis comparing that one to another and so on. I am very interested in comparative literature, and this will be my first self-guided foray into the subject, aside from the research I am conducting in tandem with this sort of passion project.
